Residential Security Project for New Property Development by Plowright HomesPublished Tuesday 25th August, 2020
Designing and installing bespoke security gates for a housing estate where aesthetics are a high priority.
GT Perimeter Protection was approached when Plowright Homes required security gates for three newly built homes on their recently developed residential estate in the picturesque village of Studham, Bedfordshire. These gates, plus an additional gate at the entrance to the estate, needed to meet strict appearance based requirements, so GT worked on a bespoke solution for the client.
The newly built homes in Studham have all been built with design and aesthetics in mind, and so when it came to securing the individual homes and the wider estate at the entrance, appearance was key. They required aesthetically pleasing gates that would be in-keeping with the look and feel of the village as a whole, while still providing a high level of safety and security for residents.
GT Perimeter Protection offer a bespoke service and so were able to offer four swing gates which went above and beyond the expectations and requirements of the client.
- Keeping up appearances
Working closely with the designer, GT experts were able to give their best recommendations for aesthetically pleasing, reliable gates that would fit in with the look and feel of the homes and surrounding area. They were able to supply swing gates in bespoke matching colours to the houses, giving a pleasant consistency to the neighbourhood.
- Environmentally friendly design
The 3 swing gates installed at the entrances to each individual house are made of lightweight aluminium. This means they are a low energy security solution, helping to make the homes more environmentally friendly – a selling point for many homes and potential buyers that is steadily growing. Although they are lightweight, the gates are still extremely safe and secure, so residents can be assured that their homes and families are protected.
- Saving money on maintenance
On top of the money residents will be saving on their electricity bills due to the low energy nature of the gates, they will also be spending less on maintaining their gates. The lightweight nature of the material and their light-duty motors mean that there won’t be a need for regular maintenance due to wear-and-tear as often as other, heavier duty gates.
- The Results
This bespoke project has resulted in some beautiful houses having aesthetically matching gates, keeping future residents safe and secure within their neighbourhood. The gates will also save their owners money on electricity and maintenance bills, as well as reducing wasted energy.
